Watch List: You Will 'Fall Like A Feather' For Dan Owen's Inimitable Talent
There are those rare occasions when you come across an artist who so effortlessly combines raw vocal talent, emotional authenticity and a maturely profound sense of lyrical insight that you are given pause to think, 'this is what true artistry should be'. From the first moments upon listening, the pure, bluesy grit and power of Dan Owen's raspy, guttural rumble took our breath away with its emotional gravitas and uninhibited passion; at times gruffly, tenderly articulate, and at others fired with a gravelly intensity that pushes you back in your seat, Owen is quite simply blessed with the kind of phenomenal talent that most can only dream of.
Perfecting his craft playing shows and festivals across the U.K. and Europe over the last several years, including London Blues Fest at the Royal Albert Hall, Glastonbury and, most recently, The Great Escape, and with airplay and interviews on BBC Radio and British Blues Awards nominations under his belt, Owen now finds himself surrounded with a swirl of interest from labels. Releasing his 'Blues Boy Dan Owen' EP in 2013, he has spent time recently in New York recording for his upcoming album, and, saying 'I've been doing a LOT of writing recently and I've been looking forward to sharing this with you', here he showcases his incredible talent with a compelling acoustic version of 'Fall Like A Feather'.
