Watch List: Whet Your Musical Appetite With Louis York's 'Sorbet'
Proving the diversity and authenticity of their respective talents, singer/songwriter Claude Kelly and producer/musician Chuck Harmony have in recent months been in the process of rolling out their Louis York project. Having received multiple Grammy nominations and written number one singles the likes of Bruno Mars, Rihanna, Miley Cyrus, Christina Aguilera and Jennifer Hudson, the duo are now revealing their own talents behind the mic with their eclectically inspired, genre-defying sound. Following recent releases 'Claire Huxtable' and 'Good Drinks, Dumb Jokes', here they stop by the Guitar Center studios to give a jazzy, heartfelt rendition of 'Sorbet', the warm soul of Kelly's voice perfectly complemented by Harmony's flourish on the keys. The first song they wrote, Kelly explains 'we wrote it, kind of, in the middle of creating the 'Masterpiece Theater' album...we call it 'Sorbet' because it is kind of like the cleansing of the palate before you get to the second half of the music we did...it's that little elegant, classy - jazzy but very, very current - break in the middle of the music'.
