Watch List: Why MICHL Is Simply Bliss
When you take a look at the song titles by Michl you know the music must be unique in some way. Sure something can be unique in a bad way, but these songs are unique in the best of ways. "Die Trying" is the latest of 3 to be released in the last half year. This track begins with a 35 second charming vocal introduction accompanied by subtle keyboards. From there the beat kicks in and sends you well on your way. On first listen you know the lyrical content hits home and is very personal for Michl.
"Our bodies are weak, we're tired and hurting,
Will we ever get to the other side, don't know but I swear I'll die trying"
"When You Loved Me Least" is another title that is so eye catching. At first glance it seems to be a total call out at someone that's not in his life anymore and you're right. This song comes off as a bit more serious vocally but is still the mellow instrumentation you might attribute to each of Michl's songs. He also surely knows his control over the range of his voice.
"But I'm in reverse now, don't follow me
'Cause I love you most when you love me least."
"Kill Our Way Into Heaven" was the first song released by the musician 6 months ago on SoundCloud. If you've listened to Michl you know the formula: you're going to hear some sort of syths, beats, and passionate lyrical and melody runs. You also know it's going to be amazing. One can only hope these songs are heard by the masses because something so hauntingly emotional and artistic deserves to be heard.
"We will say anything just to hear what we want
Right or wrong."
