Hana Pestle began her career as a singer-songwriter on the street playing a mix of her own songs and Radiohead covers. She was only 17 when she moved from Montana to California in the hopes of catching some wave of recognition. But it was only after meeting her friend, who became her musical mentor, Blood Diamonds, that she wanted to transform her music with incredible production.

HANA blew everyone who never heard of her before, even musicians she would eventually get to tour with—Grimes, Purity Ring, and Lana Del Rey. “Clay” was one of those songs, and is accompanied with a breathtaking video that represents an emotionally abusive relationship she was once in.
