Watch List: Danny Toeman Sticks To His Guns When 'Everybody Says I'm Wrong'

When we came across U.K. singer/songwriter Danny Toeman last year, it stood out straight away that his was a talent truly redolent of the best traditions of the classic soul singer - honest, confessional, heart-on-the-sleeve songwriting that addresses both his inner thoughts and feelings and his observations about the world around him being brought to life through deftly arranged soul, blues and funk inspired grooves, compelling underscored by the soulfully resonant tone and emotional gravitas of his outstanding voice, here in evidence with his stripped back rendition of an original song, 'Everbody Says I'm Wrong', for Ont' Sofa Gibson Sessions.
In the time since he has continued to grow his reputation on the London live scene with a relentless schedule of live shows at venues around the city, as well as making appearances at numerous festivals; having made a return appearance at this year's Leefest, he is set to play BluesFest U.K. later this month on the same bill as the likes of Van Morrison, Elvis Costello, Gregory Porter, and Sheryl Crow. Rolling out the third edition of the CD version of his 2012 album, 'Life Blood Soul', earlier in the year, Toeman is now poised to release his first EP, 'The Way It Seems', and celebrated recently with his first-ever lyric video for 'That Sinking Feeling'.
