Watch List: Danny 'Sky High' McClain - What You Won't Do For Love
Brooklyn born, and raised in Cambridge, Massachusetts, Danny 'Sky High' McClain grew up in a house full of music, 'My mom and dad have always been into music. They always had music playing in the house. My mom would play Roberta Flack and my dad would play Barry White so it was around all the time. Aretha Franklin, Michael Jackson, you name it there was always music non-stop'. He was fascinated by the power of music, 'I started to really study it and I just had a knack for it. I enjoyed taking apart songs and learning them...I was connected to the music and I constantly asked myself what was it that gave me the goose bumps when I heard a piece of music'. This passion for music saw him apply for, and be accepted into, the Berklee School of Music in Boston, from where he progressed to many live performances, appearing on stage alongside the likes of Steven Tyler, Me'Shell Ndegeocello and Lala Hathaway, as well as participating in and winning several competitions, including becoming the 2008 Grand Champion of New England's Emmy award winning television show 'Community Auditions: Star Of The Day'. More recently, through an introduction, he has been working and collaborating with Earth, Wind and Fire's Philip Bailey, contributing four songs to an upcoming album. His 'inspiration comes from solitude. I enjoy being by myself and when I am alone I have the best ideas', and he recently finished up working on, and releasing, the single 'Your Everything'. Here he sings Bobby Caldwell's 'What You Won't Do For Love', and, below, 'All The Things (Your Man Won't Do)' by Joe.
