Watch List: Crobot Are What It Means To Be A Rockstar
It's about time to starting recognizing and remembering the name Crobot. This Pennsylvanian rock band, comprised of Brandon Yeagley, Chris Bishop, Jake Figueroa and Paul Figueroa, is exactly what the hard and stoner rock scenes need. The instrumentals are so in-your-face and the vocals are unbelievably forceful.
The latest music from Crobot was released on June 8 and comes in the form of "Not For Sale." It begins with a muddy electric guitar run right off the bat while vocalist Brandon Yeagley takes the lead with a verse and an upper register chorus. Overall, the track somehow has the ability to bring out nostalgia but also bring a breath of stylistic fresh air. "Not For Sale" is the first single off of Welcome to Fat City (out September 23rd) through Wind-up Records. Hold up: let's not forgot to make a comment on the artwork though. It features a man-fish hybrid smoking a pipe... What more could you really ask for?
"My soul is not for sale."
Previously music that has been raved about came from the album Something Supernatural. The single "Nowhere to Hide" was a smash hit that reached number 16 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Songs chart and was a soundtrack to some peoples' summer. The video features a wild monster chase and hunt that will make you wonder what the hell is happening. Let the catchiness and groove consume you below.
Crobot is a band that is gaining a lot of respect from not only fans but also from well-established bands. They've gotten the opportunity to tour with acts such as Chevelle, Clutch, Motorhead, Volbeat, Black Label Society, and Anthrax. These guys are one of those groups you should expect to randomly hear on the radio some point in the near future. Also, after listening to the music, expect an urge to go out and buy a jacket with tassels.
