VÉRITÉ Gets Reckless In "Phase Me Out" Video
VÉRITÉ's new music video for "Phase Me Out" is half dark and half emotionally relieving. In the story we watch a couple go through the end of a relationship on a bad note. Both characters are shown to destroy anything that reminds them of the other. At the end of the day the memories are still there but sometimes you have to destroy what destroys you. Musically, VÉRITÉ is somehow delicate and forceful. Perhaps it's the mix of the subject matter and her incredible talents.
In reference to the song VÉRITÉ had to say:
"The song is about all of the invisible lines I draw in my interactions with others. I wrote ‘Phase Me Out’ on a blind date writing session in London. It was a trip I had taken around a small UK tour, where I decided to completely overbook myself. I had the phrase ‘stand up straighter with my back against the wall’ written in my notes on my phone before the session. I remember feeling exhausted and isolated and confined. I wanted to make a shift into a sound I felt was less trendy and more timeless--a mix of organic and electronic, distorted and pristine, driving and melodic."
The singer is expected to have her debut album be released this year to great hype. Her cover of The 1975’s “Somebody Else” has reached a wild 43 million streams on Spotify and her original music has over 60 million. To keep it rolling, VÉRITÉ will hit the road with Betty Who for the following US tour:
