The Suffers Offer An Intimate Invitation For You To 'Stay'

With their funk, soul and afro-beat inspired sound, Houston ten-piece The Suffers had us under their spell at first listen as couple of years ago. Melding infectious grooves, ebullient horns and funky guitar licks with the richly soulful grace and power of singer Kam Franklin's wonderful voice, they quickly found their way into our musical heart with songs that would go on to make up their 'Make Some Room' EP. Having won over their hometown as multiple award winners at the Houston Music Awards, in the last couple of years they have begun to win over the wider U.S.; from the festival circuit to the revered stage at the Ed Sullivan Theatre for David Letterman, all who witness the energy and passion of The Suffers' live show become instant fans. With another stellar year on the road under their belt - from SXSW to selling out the House of Blues in Houston and playing the Austin City Limits Festival - the band are now looking forward to releasing their Kickstarter 'Be Our Record Company' funded new album next year, and here remind of their talent with an intimate acoustic performance of 'Stay' for Austin360’s coverage of the Austin City Limits Festival.
