Sampha's Floaty Tiny Desk Concert
NPR's Tiny Desk Concert series has become a medium for new and/or established artists to showcase what goes into their music and thus allowing individual personalities to shine. Southwest London's Sampha is the latest to be featured on the show and with this opportunity he uses the time to run through stripped versions of "Plastic 100°C," "(No One Knows Me) Like the Piano," and "Blood On Me."
The three keyboard-intensive songs each featured emotional lyricism and a whole lot of heart. "Blood On Me," in particular, receives the biggest transformation however as the chaotic, layered aspect of the original is swapped for just a man and his instrument and everything he can do with the tools at his disposal.
