Roc Nation & EOS Bring Melanie Fiona, Bridget Kelly & Elijah Blake To The Hudson Hotel For Final Stop On Music Series Tour
In a strategic move that once again places Roc Nation on an innovative curve in the industry, the all-purpose label has teamed up with EOS (Evolution of Smooth) to continue the trendy health and beauty brand's concert series with three of their own trendy artists: Elijah Blake, Bridget Kelly and Melanie Fiona. The tour has been scouring the United States up to rave reviews and made an impactful ending stop at New York City's Hudson Hotel Wednesday night (November 13th) - the site for TheNext2Shine's monthly "Live From Oz" showcase presented with Anthony Hall.
It was a musical affair that you could only see to believe as R&B singer/songwriter and Atrium recording artist Elijah Blake set the tone for the spectacular night filled with authentic R&B music, warming up the crowd with covers as well as selections from his beloved EP Bijoux 22. The young vet with the killer pen - whose most recent work came this week by way of Jordin Sparks' sensual "11:11 (Wish)" - even treated fans with a performance of "Drop Dead Beautiful". With his stage presence and voice control, one would never know that this is Elijah's first outing on the road, but a sure sign of great live performances to come from this young talent!
The elegant setting of the Hudson and the bright pops of color provided by EOS made for a beautiful backdrop as the show pushed on with Bridget Kelly pleasing eager fans, opening with her contribution to Jay Z's "Empire State Of Mind", "Street Dreamin'" and performing "In The Morning", an emotional rendition of Mary J. Blige's "I'm Goin' Down", and everyone's favorite - "Special Delivery". BK also performed some new tunes, including "Addicted To His Love Affair" & "Cocaine Heartbreak", which fans can expect to own when it becomes available on a her new EP.
Melanie Fiona shattered the ballroom with her heralded pipes as she passionately closed out the show with tracks from her studio releases including "Watch Me Work", "Give It To Me Right", and "Running". The crowd was on fire when Melanie started in on her duet with Cee-Lo Green, "Fool For You" - a favorite amongst her fans and a radio smash. "Wrong Side Of A Love Song" sent the audience into a heart-wrenching tizzy and had Melanie herself under its usual emotional spell as she performed. "4 A.M." turned the space into a group sing-along and Melanie has never sounded better throughout the hour-long set, especially during her closing number, "Cold Piece".
