RJD2 Gives You ‘Peace Of What’ With New Track
Coming in just in time for winter, RJD2 returns with the stunningly hot ‘Peace Of What.’ Featuring the silky smooth vocals of Jordan Brown, RJ constructs a supremely fat beat dripping with horns, strings, and that soulful Philly sound.
Inspired by Main Choice’s “Peace Is Not The Word To Play,” the lyrics focus on the frustration of expecting peace without doing anything to achieve it. Says RJD2 in a press release, "When I hear people talk of peace in America, the discrepancy between our words and our actions can get fatiguing, […] I was trying to reflect the experience of people I know, which often feels like, ‘We're not ACTUALLY trying to do anything about this problem in our country.’"
His follow up to 2013’s More Is Than Isn’t is titled Dame Fortune and is due out on March 25th. If this first single is any indication, and knowing RJD2’s track record I think it’s it’s fairly safe to assume, there is going to be a lot of positive vibes and serious head bobbing coming your way this spring.
