Ray Hodge Displays Multi-Faceted Skill With "If It's Easy" Visual
From the 0:01 mark of Ray Hodge's new music video for "If It's Easy" you know you're in for a captivating trip of emotion. The track from Hodge's Braveheart EP centers around the expression of the musician's feelings at a certain point in his personal life:
"It's about the different phases I went through during our breakup. Feeling dead and confused, lost…thinking about if they felt the same way too. But at some point it came to me, I need to get up and stop beating myself up and laying here wondering. If it is truly meant to be it shall be. But what I really am saying to that love of mine, is that I'm OK and I'm still thinking about you and I love you. I'm OK babe. Now you rise as well and if we find each other again, then I'll see you. But I'm OK.”
The beginning begins with the singer face down in a field with him singing somberly over an acoustic guitar. Cue the chorus and the vibe incredibly picks up. The sounds of bass guitar getting more punchy and the drums developing a dance-beat pattern surely strike a chord in your soul. From there Ray Hodge finds some peace in a sunset scenery only to be placed back in a situation of being on the ground, but even worse the second time around.
The video ends on a beautifully positive note however with Ray dancing and smiling to close out the track.
