Noah Cyrus Gives Haunted Duet "Make Me (Cry)" With Labrinth
The whole point of a music video in today's industry is to add another artistic element into the scenario to improve the creative status of an individual artist. Noah Cyrus is a name that has always had huge attention on her with her being apart of the Cyrus family, but she came through and proved herself 100%. "Make Me (Cry)" with Labrinth was the debut from Noah and features a soft, but very real, duet switching from female to male vocals. With this in mind director Sophie Muller (Selena Gomez, Beyoncé, Coldplay, Gwen Stefani) saw the perfect opportunity to steer the visual into a story that fits like a glove.
The video consists of a parallel universe type environment where both Noah Cyrus and Labrinth are singing about their love for one another while being involved with other people. Shots show other significant others in the room as both musicians parade and dance around their loft apartment. Both Cyrus and Labrinth have concluded that they cannot just simply get the other off their mind. Unfortunately the two are never even reunited at the end of the video and remain in their own lives.
In reference to working with Labrinth and the new video Cyrus had to say:
“Lab is like a big brother to me, so having him on set for my first video was amazing. Also, getting to work with someone as talented as Sophie was such an honor. I had the best time making this video!”
What did you think of the blossoming career of either musician?
