Musicians collaborate on Vine with #6SecondCover - Searching for Musical Talent
In our search to find talent we stumble upon voices in some of the most random places. Going through our vine feed we ran into a voice that instantly stuck out. Why instantly? Because on Vine, you only have 6 seconds to record a video (compared to 10 minutes on Youtube). Now that poses an interesting problem for artists since it doesn't allow the listener/fan to fall into the song as intended. However, on first listen to this beautiful cover of Ray LaMontagne's "Trouble" we knew we had stumbled upon something special. So special that it reached +32,900 likes since it was posted 6 days ago.
Although that part wasn't what really intrigue us as much. It were the "collaboration revines" that really caught our attention. We weren't the only ones moved by the short video. Musicians such as Tess Henley, Carson Henley, IZAiAH, and Jordan Taylor got a bit creative and decided to add a new layer to the vocals. "[Tess and I] didn't envision how it was taking off. [I just thought] it would be cool if you could add a bunch of parts to the original. I don't know [Jay] personally, and thought 'lets just see what happens'" Carson Henley explained. "collaborations [in the studio] take so much time. This is only six seconds! 'It would be cool to have the fans involvement too' I thought to myself". Scroll below to see how the progression #6SecondCover just kept getting better and better with new layers.
