Music Video: Topher Mohr - Ruthless
Raised in Michigan, Topher Mohr makes 'vintage pop, funk and soul' with his influences including Stevie Wonder, Prince, James Brown, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin and Elvis Costello. Having played funk and soul locally, and on several occasions being recognized as 'Outstanding Instrumentalist' at the Detroit Music Awards, in 2001 he moved to New York to tour with the band Custom and went on to work with artists such as Immani Coppola and Black Market Radio, and also worked on Alice Smith's Grammy-nominated album 'For Lovers, Dreamers and Me'. He had been working during this time on his own material, and on moving to Los Angeles in 2007 he released his debut album 'True Love On The T.V. Set', and subsequently went on to link up with his old friend from Michigan, Mayer Hawthorne, spending three years touring with Mayer Hawthorne and The County. In early 2013 he released his new album 'Phlotilla', and here is the video for the song 'Ruthless'.
