Music Video: Russell Taylor - War Of Hearts
The Harlem-based, Russell Taylor originally from Philadelphia, has traveled around the world performing in places like London, Amsterdam and Paris and sharing the stage with amazing artists such as Mary J. Blige, Jill Scott and Indie Arie among others. Currently working hard in the studio on his forthcoming studio album, he has recently premiered his visual for amazing single “War Of Hearts” which was heavily inspired by ABC`s smash hit show Scandal, which mainly centres around the love affair between Olivia Pope and the President of the United States Fitzgerald Grant (played by Tony Goldwyn and Kerry Washington)
“The way that the President and Olivia have this super intense love affair, it seems only pure the way they feel for each other but it’s so many things wrong with the relationship. It’s like a War of Hearts this battle of love and this needing to be together. All of these things sort of played into the creation of the song—my mood, what I see, the bank of ideas, and my feelings. It’s a multi-disciplinary approach to songwriting.” says Taylor
‘War of Hearts’ (on iTunes) is a piano-drum driven ballad that finds him laying some heartfelt vocals with sentimental lyrics about having fight for someone's love and losing the battle, it totally explains the emotions that are displayed on Scandal between those two characters.
