Music Video: Rainy Milo - Don't Regret Me
We have watched over the last couple of years as the precociously talented and confidently self-assured U.K. singer Rainy Milo has made the transition from being a Gilles Peterson-endorsed internet phenom to becoming a critically acclaimed emerging artist; her early affinity for poetry merging with an eclectically creative and engaging jazz, hip-hop and r'n'b influenced musical sensibility to produce a distinctive sound and voice that gets under the skin with its smooth sophistication while being thoughtfully observant about life and love.
With her own Limey imprint on Virgin/EMI, Milo's recent 'This Thing Of Ours' album met with critical acclaim a she established herself on the U.K. music scene as one to watch, with tracks like ''Bout You' and 'Rats'. Now, displaying the benefit of having both an instinctive maturity and an artistic integrity that allowed her to turn down an initial rush of offers that came her way when her music broke online to instead focus on crafting a cohesive and authentically representative sound, Milo has released two year old visuals for the Chet Faker-produced 'Don't Regret Me', taken from her breakthrough 'Limey' EP, saying 'I think we artists tend to create and then move on. Having not seen this footage in over two years, I have of course grown, however this is the first video I ever made, and I still feel it's a huge part of the beginning chapter of Rainy Milo'.
