Music Video: Moya - Come And Get It
Hailed by Perez Hilton as being 'like the female Bruno Mars' and having had her songs added to the Radio 2 playlist, as well as having recently supported both Mick Hucknall and Rod Stewart, London based UK singer Moya (Emily Andrews) has released the video for her song 'Come And Get It', Moya's emotive voice yearning for more from a reluctant lover while defiantly reminding that 'you won't break me, break me, cos my fire isn't gone...So come and get it. Before I'm long gone', over a piano driven track.
Documenting her emotions from a young age, Moya was brought up listening to soul, Motown and jazz, 'music filled our house...and it definitely kind of shaped how and why I sing today', and, when as a teenager her plans to study musical theater fell through, her passion for music saw her decide to begin writing her own songs and to develop the performance persona Moya, with Andrews saying 'she's a bit of everything...the soul elements part plays a big part, but she is made up of all the bits of my life that I have put together over the years...the things I've listened to, inspirations, she kind of is all of that embodied into one...she's very confident...she's like a higher power of me...when you become an artist, the person that you want to be is that person on the stage, so Moya is this incredible, charismatic, confident person that can get up there and nothing phases her...Moya is this kind of higher power, is the person that I would love to be every day of my life'.
Moya released the album 'Lost And Found' last year, and is currently working on more material for the future.
