Music Video: Moonchild - Nobody
Drawing acclaim from the likes of Jill Scott, Stevie Wonder and Tyler the Creator, Los Angeles band Moonchild have made a name for themselves in recent years with their refreshingly addictive brand of music that keeps the head nodding while soothing the soul, with the dreamy, gently disarming beauty of singer Amber Navran's voice gliding ethereally over an enchantingly mellow, neo-soul washed vibe that has the jazzy hue of the band's lush soundscapes exuding both a breezy confidence and a groovy nonchalance, in evidence here with their song 'Nobody'.
After performing on tour together as a horn section, USC jazz performance students Amber Narvan, Max Byrk and Andris Mattson settled down in 2011 to begin the writing and recording of Moonchild's first album, 'Be Free', which was followed this year by 'Please Rewind'. Having received airplay on BBC Radio 6 with Giles Peterson and KCRW, the band was also invited by Stevie Wonder to perform at his House Full of Toys Benefit Concert, and recently finished up a month long residency at the Bootleg Theater in Los Angeles. With a West Coast tour behind them already this year, and as they look forward to their appearance at this year's Montreal Jazz Festival, Moochild are currently on a mini-tour of the East Coast, where you can catch them at the following venues (ticket info in the links) -
