Music Video: Louis Baker - Birds
23-year-old New Zealand singer/songwriter Louis Baker says 'my music is love, soul, beauty, peace, meaning', and he has just released the video for his song 'Birds', the black and white video a visual representation of the dance of love as Baker's beautiful voice, delicate and fragile, yet at the same time imbued with an emotional maturity, sings over guitar and strings of wanting someone to 'show me the way to to your heart'.
Baker says he 'had a real passion for music most of my life...it's my profession now, and it's what I live and breathe'. Teaching himself guitar from the age of twelve, he later attended the NZ School of Music, where he studied Jazz Guitar, and, while only starting to sing from the age of seventeen, his natural talent has seen him begin to make a name for himself in New Zealand music circles. Reaching further afield this year, he was accepted into the Red Bull Music Academy in New York, and from there went on to the UK to record his debut EP at Snap Studios in London, with Baker saying the upcoming EP will be 'an instrumentation of voice, acoustic guitar and strings'.
