Music Video: Ephemerals - You'll Never See Me Cry
Despite what the name suggests, U.K. band Ephemerals have well and truly proved that they are here to stay. First catching our attention with their politically charged funk and soul inspired sound a couple of years ago, the London based outfit have in the time since gone on to garner acclaim and attention across the U.K. music scene. With airplay on BBC Radio 1, 1Xtra and BBC Radio 6, a co-sign from Gilles Peterson and having played stages at Glastonbury and Bestival, the Ephemerals have now established themselves as a vital and socially conscious presence in the minds of fans and tastemakers alike. Gearing up to follow last years 'Nothing Is Easy' album with the release their new 'Chasin Ghosts' album and tour, the band have just released the animated, collage-inspired video for the personal and politically charged poignance of the piano, bass and strings of 'You'll Never See Me Cry', with singer Wolf Valbrun uttering the song's title with a rawly emotive, soulful passion.
