Maggie Rogers Shares Demo "#" Amidst Election
Maggie Rogers is an artist that can give her unfiltered emotions in a way we feel 100% genuine. The 2016 presidential election has been and continues to be a giant roll of the eyes. Quickly after the result were announced Maggie Rogers went straight to writing music in her hotel room to cope with the emotions that were being tossed around. The events led to a demo version of a song titled "#."
there are darker things than the absence of light. im sweating.

It's pretty clear Rogers is having some trouble coping with the reality and her immediate reaction is sadness. The tune is simply a lightly-distorted guitar and her echoing vocal layers. Shots like "I can't sigh another angry sigh for an insecure man that's telling lies" and "I can't change the mind of a lonely guy who won't let my friend go rightfully inside" have never sounded so beautifully somber.
"#" is the latest since her recently released single "Dog Years," which arrived around a week ago and blessed our eardrums.
