Lili K. Shows You How to "Pour Some Shuga"
Remember the sweet sensation you felt after listening to Lili K.? We're here to remind you. The Chicago-based jazz vocalist has returned with the third single, "Pour Some Shuga", to preview her forthcoming album. Composed by Lili herself, Addison Wright, and J Fran, "Pour Some Shuga" was a track written in an effort to expose the negative ways people sometimes interact with one another. To contrast this is a video, directed by all three, visualizing feel-good, "beautiful morning" vibes with vibrant colors. Watch as the camera pans over a diner filled with a variety of people spending their time in different situations. It is evident that every subject is experiencing their own, unique day and handling it on their own terms... Making for a cohesive audio/visual dynamic. A press release says, "Serving as an aesthetic ode to Quentin Tarantino, “Pour Some Shuga” has a warm, 70's aura that flows beautifully with Lili's throwback soul."
