Lenka 'Brightens' up Summer, Releasing Her Fourth Album, The Bright Side
The dark days are over, as Australian singer/ songwriter, Lenka Kripac 'brightens' things up this summer. After Lenka, Two, and Shadows, Lenka's fourth album, 'The Bright Side,' will soon be released Tuesday, June 16, on Skipalong/ Hickory Records/ RED Distribution.
Stepping out of the "shadowy" phase in her 2013 album, Shadows, Kripac takes a different tack with her music, collaborating with major producers such as Damian Taylor, Chris Braide, Tim "One Love" Sommers, and Dan Romer. What we can expect from 'The Bright Side' is a cheerful, lighthearted sensation, the kind of music that gives us a reason to smile.
"Take the Long Way Home" is quite upbeat. Lenka's soothing, tactile voice flows smoothly with the bouncy tempo of the guitar. Whether it's skipping or bobbing your head from side to side, there's no doubt this album will leave you with a warmhearted sensation.
“I want to project positivity and my true state is pretty buoyant at the moment. Maybe in the future I’ll want to explore the depths again, but right now I’m just happy.”
