LANKS Defines His Sound in "Holla," Announces New EP, 'Viet Rose'
An all-encompassing project has been presented by LANKS this week, coming in the form of "Holla." The single, in simple words, solidifies the abstractions unique to the artist and has fully convinced us (as if we weren't already...)
A chaotic yet centered soundscape is produced with vocal distortion, hiccuping electro tinges, a deep rhythm and an elegant piano. It's the perfect blend of imaginitive complexities and beautiful clarity, and a dreamy guitar melody will close off "Holla" to make you breath a huge sigh of joy.
On top of this, LANKS has announced a full length project, an EP titled Viet Rose on October 14.
"I have worked so hard this year to make this the best thing it could be, and with the help of some talented friends (Andrei Eremin, Tom Iansek, Airling, Jess Bonnitcha, Justin Olsson) it has grown into something I am so proud to share with you all.
I have toured a lot this year, while continuing to work a second job as a receptionist so I could fund my music. If you do connect to my art and want to hear more of it, please pre-order it and share it with your friends/lovers/family pets. I am so grateful for your support!
This EP is dedicated to my best friends and also the $10 laksa at Viet Rose, without either I wouldn't have survived the past year."
