Kandace Springs 'Thought It Would Be Easier'
Proving that true talent knows no creative bounds, Kandace Springs returned recently to introduce the world to her new 'Soul Eyes' project. A departure from the r&b/hip-hop vibe of her critically acclaimed 2014 debut EP, Springs' new album has seen her embrace the more jazzy, soulful and Nashville-based roots of her musical upbringing as she once again showcases the truly stunning appeal of her exceptional talent.
With a voice that falls on the ear with a honeyed mellifluousness and mesmerizes with the emotion, intimacy and maturity of its adroitly seductive phrasing and nuance, Springs has teamed up with Grammy-winning producer Larry Klein to conjure the new album's breath-taking collection of covers and originals. Following up on last month's first release - her take on the jazz classic 'Soul Eyes' - here Springs returns to the studio at Capitol Records to bathe Shelby Lynne's 'Thought It Would Be Easier' in the soulfully sensuous hues of her effortlessly intuitive and wondrously charming talent.
