Joshua Bass Bares His Soul With 'Human'...

A 22-year-old singer/songwriter with an indie-pop/rock flavored sensibility, Joshua Bass delivers a thoughtful consideration of the human condition with his new song, 'Human', his gritty, passionate vocals, propelled by a guitar and punctuated piano, urgently confessional as he confronts that which makes him 'human', his fears and vulnerabilities, those confusing emotions that can churn in us all, while offering up a notion of comfort in the thought that 'maybe we're fragile so that love can fix us all', living up to his mantra of wanting to deliver 'something with feeling and emotion'.

Bass was mentored in his early teens by country songwriter Jeffery Steele, honing the skills involved with music production and songwriting, and started his professional career by writing and producing for several American Idol contestants, including Syesha Mercado, Vonzell Solomon and Blake Lewis, going on to work with the likes of Lady Gaga, J Hart (Justin Bieber), Stacy Barthe (Britney Spears/Katy Perry) and Issac Hasson (Demi Lovato/Selena Gomez). A chance opportunity to fill in as a reference singer at a UMPG writing session with Kelly Sheehan (RxSongs (Dr. Luke)/SonyATV/RocNation) spurred Bass on to pursue his own career as a singer, and he has featured on tracks with DJ/Producer Sebastian Bennett.
