Jordan Rakei Releases "Tawo" Live from I'klɛktɪk and It Will Simply Give You Goosebumps
Cloak is fast approaching. In fact, so close we're about one week away from the big day. Set to release June 3, Jordan Rakei will finally reveal his debut album we've all so highly anticipated.
Today, live from I'klɛktɪk Art Labs, the London-based musician shares a live video for his new track, "Tawo." Strap in for this one -- the song is an emotional investment, to say the least. Carried by a strong drum beat and a pair of keys (taken over by Jordan and long time collaborator Alfa Mist,) the beautifully and intricately composed "Tawo" takes you through an audial journey through self realization. Eight vocalists back Jordan's lead, adding another level of decorative and rather majestic musicianship. Listen as the piano parts start subtly but evolve to be unrestrained and jazz-fused, ending the track in a beautifully expressive fashion. "Tawo," simply put, will give you mega chills. It has a sense of comfortability but strength in musicality at the same time.
This release is genuinely noteworthy. Watch above and markCloak down in your calendar. You can pre order the album HERE and get to know Jordan in "Uncloaked" below.
