Jessie Reyez Tells Personal Account Of Music Industry Sexism
Jessie Reyez has always been one to lead a charge and stand as a powerful new character on the music scene. Recently the singer shared her debut EP "Kiddo" and launched the waves of hype as critics speculate where she is to go from here.
A short film called Gatekeeper: A True Story has dropped from the talent that tackles an incredibly important issue that has gone rampant. "Gatekeeper" is a track off of the EP and with the film we watch her personal account of sexism in the music industry. In a letter to Noisey, Reyez gives the clear story how a major music industry player pressured her to have sex in exchange for helping her advance her career. Kudos to Jessie for using her creativity to start the conversation on the sickening reality.
