Jessica Ashley Teams Up With Epic Records For Her Debut Album
21-year-old New York singer/songwriter Jessica Ashley, with her classically beautiful voice and accomplished skills on piano, has been an emerging artist that we have been following for several years now, including featuring her on our 'Discovery Mixtape' series, and Nocturne Media Group have just announced that they have partnered with the Sony Music label led by L.A. Reid, Epic Records, to produce and distribute Ashley's upcoming debut album.
Having honed her musical skills at the Clive Davis Department of Recorded Music at NYU, Ashley began to attract attention with the covers that she posted on YouTube, garnering millions of views, and her songwriting skills saw her make an initial foray into the professional music scene as a 17-year-old when she sold her original song, 'Limbo', to multi-platinum Interscope Records artist Jo-Jo. Going on to work with the likes of Sean Garrett (Beyonce, Nicki Minaj), Willie Baker (Pink, Brandy) and Alan 'Nglish (Ce Lo, Taio Cruz), Ashley released her 'Prelude' EP in 2012. In the last year, Nocturne Media Group and Ashley partnered with hit-makers Eman Kirakou (Celine Dion, Hot Chelle Rae), Evan 'Kid' Bogart (Beyonce, Rihanna, Britney Spears) and their Cre8tive Co. publishing company to help guide her career, and she has also in recent times both co-written and featured on the MKTO's 'No More Second Chances' as well as co-writing the #1 Twitter-trending song, 'Cool', for French star Maude.
