Interview: The Rising Artist - BERA
When we first heard about BERA he had a little less than 1k Facebook Fans. In the short span of a few weeks his fan-base has exploded past 60k Facebook Fans. With that under his belt, the bubbling artist already created his very own record label, and has worked with producers Darkchild, & Rob Fusari, and video director Ray Kay! After releasing his first music video, BERA is hard at work on his next video for his second single "Don't Worry".
Georgian Dream is your record label that you created. Do you have any prospective talents that you are looking to sign?
Yes, as any record label, one of our main goals is to develop new talents, but right now the main focus of the company is on my album. We're not big enough yet to handle a lot of projects at the same time.
How was it working with one of the most widely known video directors in the industry?
Working with Ray Kay was an unforgettable experience. Besides his professionalism and his talent, he's a great person, a very humble and friendly guy. He gave me a lot [of advice].
Was it your first time on camera?
[Yes], I would say it was my first time in front of a professional camera, with lighting equipments and all other components.
Your debut single is titled "Favorite Things." Name your top 5 favorite songs that come to mind.
1. Ray Charles "Georgia"; 2. Michael Jackson "Billie Jean"; 3. Barry White "Put Me In Your Mix"; 4. 2PAC "California Love"; 5. Queen "We Are The Champions". That's what just came to my mind spontaneously, it's a tough question though. *laughs*
You’re very young for your age.. but so is Justin Bieber and countless others! How did you manage to get your talent noticed?
By working hard, meeting people, [and] playing my music to everybody. I started doing my best when I realized that you can never do your best! I was living in a recording studio 24/7 during 2 years.
Did you have any studio experience before you met up with Darkchild and Rob Fusari?
Yes, my first studio was my laptop and it was 5 years ago.
