iHeartRadio teams up with Sony and PlayStation Products for Integration
Today at the 2015 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, iHeartRadio, the all-in-one digital service, announced it will launch on a number of Sony's leading consumer electronics products, including Sony Computer Entertainment's PlayStation 4 (PS4) and PlayStation 3 (PS3) systems. This announcement further extends iHeartRadio's commitment to be available everywhere its consumers are with the products and services they expect.
Beginning in early Q1, iHeartRadio will be available on both PS4 and PS3 systems, and other Sony products including select TV and mobile devices.
"By adding iHeartRadio to Sony devices for both the home and on-the-go, we are able to offer our listeners an even more seamless listening experience wherever they are. iHeartRadio is always looking for new ways to meet the changing habits of our consumer audience and deliver high quality entertainment experiences, and we are excited to be working closely with Sony to offer the service on their devices," said Darren Davis, President of iHeartRadio. "By making iHeartRadio available on select Sony devices we are also expanding the scope of our reach and further rounding out our already diverse range of compatible devices."
The addition of iHeartRadio to Sony and Sony Computer Entertainment devices adds to the company's growing list of device platforms across web, mobile phones, tablets, automotive, smart TVs, gaming consoles and more. With nearly 60 million registered users, iHeartRadio continues to be free for listeners.
