Fall For Peter Henry Phillips' Emotive Charm
Raised in Quebec and schooled musically at the conservatory in Montreal, Canadian singer-songwriter Pierre-Philippe Coté, aka Pilou, has made a name for himself on the Quebec arts scene in recent years as a singer and producer. Having worked on numerous collaborations and a movie soundtrack, in the background he has been in the process of crafting an anglophone solo project, Peter Henry Phillips. Embracing an enchanting blend of acoustic, folk and pop instincts that come mixed with subtle undertones of electric-accented blues and rock, the resulting introspectively thoughtful, hauntingly emotive and unhurriedly groovy sensibility he creates has a meditative and ruminative vibe all its own. With his lyrical examination of the time and tide of human experience being complemented by the subtle grit, tender tone and falsetto hues of his gently charming voice, Peter Henry Phillips recently followed up last year's release of his self-titled EP with the 'The Origin' album, further intriguing with the absorbing appeal of his distinctive talent.
