Let us introduce you to the talented new artist Aaron Camper, we posted an article a few days ago when we had the chance to catch up with him. Aaron is currently on the Chris Brown F.A.M.E. Tour in Adelaide, Australia, which just kicked off, and already so much love has been thrown at Chris Brown and his crew. Twitter has been going crazy with Chris's fans tweeting to the crew, and telling them how nice they are and stopping to take photo's with the Aussie fans. We wrapped up an interview with the pretty eyes; Aaron Camper, You can also listen to "Water Runs Dry" featured on his latest Mixtape where you will find the following link to download it free and get a bit of a taste of his style.
To start off, for those that don't know who you are, tell us a bit about yourself.
Well basically a singer/songwriter from the States born and raised in Maryland and I love to make music that makes love to you! (laughs)
We see that you have worked with many legends in the industry such as; Stevie Wonder, Brandy, Rob Thomas, Diddy, Kanye West, Swizz Beatz are just a few, what was it like being surrounded by them?
Working with those people just makes me realize how blessed I am and always makes me want to keep pushing harder to get to the next level in my career and in my music. I only want to make music that makes a strong impression as all of these artists have done before me.
Having the opportunity to work with many people who have their influence on music, who would you say inspired you most and why?
I'd have to say two people really stood out for me, one being Jill Scott and the other being Diddy. Jill is just one of those people who just makes the best out of any situation, always pushed me and gave me life long lessons that I still apply until this day. Working with Diddy, I just watched how to run and operate your own brand and how he always re-creates #swag is dope. He's the Berry Gordy of my generation.
How is the Chris Brown F.A.M.E. Tour going so far? How does it feel to be under the "spotlight"?
The tour hasn't even started yet, which is the amazing part and already everyone's bonding and coming together. The chemistry which is important on any tour came so fast and tonight is the first show and everyone's going to get to see how much work and time we've put into this show. Dopeness on deck! (laughs)
When did you start writing songs? What lead you to write music? When did you decide to become an artist?
I was 12 when I first started writing music. Nobody wrote what I wanted to hear and that's what lead me to be doing what I am now and became an artist in January.
What is the outlook of your musical career with the challenges faced in today's music industry?
I'd say I'm more of a long term, longevity driven kinda guy. I'm a fan of everything therefore in this industry you see a lot of "One-Hit wonders" and "Flash in the pan" acts. I just want to be one of the one's who sticks around for a while. On my mixtape I said "My records are bigger than the club and the weekend" and I really meant it.
Do you have any loves other then music?
What do you feel is most important to you in the music business?
My supporters, family and team.
What embarrassing songs might we find on your MP3 player? *laughter*
You might find a GOOD amount of Taylor Swift, lol she's dope.
How has your work developed throughout the years and experience?
Just living, they say the best thing that can tell you something about a person is time. I must say the more I live, the more experience I get.
What would you say is your biggest accomplishment?
My Mixtape, which is (for all of you living under a rock) #WELCOME2MYWORLD only at AaronCamperMusic.com
If you could dabble in another genre of music, what would it be and why?
Country because its so honest, They can talk about the club, a woman, a pick up truck and religion ALL in the same song. Amazing.
How are you feeling the Australian love? Would you say the fans here are "wild"?
No, I would say THEY ARE NUTS! But I love each and every one of them individually, By far the most impressive group of people I've ever come across.
What can we be expecting from you in the future? Where do you see yourself in let's say about 5 years time?
IN AUSTRALIA RIPPING IT APART WITH MY TOUR! Are you coming? Of course you are!
