Elijah Blake make us 'Just Wanna' dance with his new track 'I Just Wanna’
Grammy award-winning Elijah Blake may be the man behind many of our favorite R&B tracks, but he is finally taking to the stage as a solo-artist in his own right, soon to be competing with the likes of Chris Brown and Usher. After signing his first record deal at 16, Elijah established himself as a successful songwriter, working with Trey Songz on his 'Ready' album in 2009, as well as writing 'No Love Allowed' by Rihanna and co-writing Usher's #1 dance hit 'Climax'. In December 2012 he released his sensual debut mixtape 'Bijoux 22' - which included 'X.O.X' co-written and featuring Common – earning him comparisons to artists such as Frank Ocean and The Weeknd. Yet more recently Elijah has been returning to his dance roots, providing us with more energetic and spirited tracks such as 'I Just Wanna' featuring Dej Loaf from his upcoming debut album Shadows & Diamonds, packed with potential summer-anthems. His new video for 'I Just Wanna', released May 12th, certainly shows Elijah in a more playful light, combining his soulful voice with slick dance moves as he tries to charm his love interest. Shadows & Diamonds is due to be released on June 23rd and is available for pre-order on iTunes, featuring his three previously released singles 'Everyday', 'Fading' and 'I Just Wanna' which you can download on iTunes and Spotify now.
