Discovering the chilling vocals of Jasmine Thompson
It's rare to find an artist as young as 14-year old London-based Jasmine Thompson, one who knows exactly who she is as an artist. Cover after cover, she takes songs such as Hozier's "Take Me To Church" and delivers it with haunting tenderness. The YouTube sensation has gone from a few thousand to over 1.2 million subscribers and over 140 million views in a couple short years. Her cover of Chaka Kahn's "Aint Nobody" with producer and DJ Felix Jaehn reached no. 32 on the UK Singles Chart and is currently penetrating Germany, Switzerland, and Austria. Australian artist Cody Simpson has tapped her as support for his Acoustic Tour last year.
Jasmine's body of work already consists of two studio albums on iTunes: Bundle of Tantrums (2013) and Another Bundle of Tantrums (2014), and two EPs: Under the Willow Tree (2013) and Take Cover (2014). She is currently unsigned by a record label but working with Triptik management, who have artists and songwriters that have worked with One Direction, 5 Seconds of Summer, and M.I.A.
