Discover Astrid S. In Her Blissful Debut EP
Who’s getting us to snap our fingers again? Our answer is: Astrid S.
Blossoming from Norway is nineteen year old indie pop vocalist, Astrid Smeplass. Her self-titled debut EP—Astrid S— has reached us, filling the air with a blissful sound that seems straight out of heaven. In total, the EP has five songs: “Paper Thin,” “Hurts So Good,” “Jump,” “Atic,” and “I Don’t Wanna Know.” Holding great control over her angelic voice, it isn’t hard to imagine Astrid S. being an imagined singer, next to Kai, on the next big Flume hit. As she accompanied Troye Sivan on his European tour, she began growing soft spots for larger audiences around the world. She has also inserted a visually-stunning pair of videos of “Hurts So Good,” filmed in the mountainous Stockholm, and a lyric video of the first EP track, “Paper Thin,” that’ll have just anyone singing along to the words and watercolors spilling over.
