Dirty Deep 'Shine' With Their Gritty Blues Rock
The fervor and passion of French trio Dirty Deep certainly came as a welcome surprise when we recently came across their brand of 'dirty blues'. Having evolved from multi-instrumentalist front-man Victor Sbrovazzo's one-man-band into a now guitar, bass, drums and organ rooted trio, their combined instinct for letting loose with fuzzy, bluesy riffs, driving rock'n'roll grooves and swampy basslines made for an idiosyncratically rousing listen. Topped off with the raspy, sand-paper howl of Sbrovazzo's gritty vocal, a blowin' harmonica and the swirling grandeur of eddying organ accents, Dirty Deep's dusty, rambunctious racket is fired by a truly uninhibited abandon that pulses with a ragged charm all its own. Ahead of the release of their upcoming 'What's Flowin' In My Veins' album, here the band give a unabashed example of what to expect with the slow-gathering, blues/rock crescendo of 'Shine' for Jamways.
