Cardiknox is a liberated 'Wild Child' in fresh new album, "Portrait"
Cardiknox are an energetic pop duo from L.A, comprised of Lonnie Angle and Thomas Dutton. Lonnie grew up playing classical piano where Thomas rocked out to punk. They initially planned to create and produce their own musicals, but found that the contrast in their tastes created a distinct sound. They have a carefree energy influenced by punk rock and vibrant chords that are reminiscent of the 80's.
You don’t have to wait for Spring to feel warm with the arrival of their debut album Portrait, that was released today. After three years, six singles and a tour, it’s finally here and we couldn’t be more excited! Portrait is packed with upbeat melodies with a rough edge that creates a fun-loving atmosphere.
Their songs are relatable with lyrics about moving forward, frustration, and letting go. The duo previewed this release months prior, debuting buzz singles like "Wild Child," "Into The Night" and "On My Way" (that paired with an awesome one-take video.)
A pop album with depth and a vivacious sound seem as foreign as the word Cardiknox, yet it's in existence.
