Bebe Rexha's debut EP 'I Don't Wanna Grow Up' is just the 'Sweet Beginning' for this electro-pop diva
Bebe Rexha may not be a household name yet, but boy is she quickly climbing the ranks. Born in Brooklyn, NYC to Albanian parents, the natural born songstress first fronted Pete Wentz's (Fall Out Boy) band Black Cards in 2010, then turning her hand to songwriting and penning some of the biggest pop-song to date, including 'Monster Under My Bed', which was reworked by Eminem in 2013 to become Grammy winning hit 'The Monster' featuring Rihanna. Since then she has signed with Warner Bros Records, collaborated with Cash Cash on the #1 UK dance hit 'Take Me Home', featured on David Guetta's 'Hey Mama' and worked with the likes of Pitbull, Tinashe and Usher. Now focusing on her solo-career, Bebe Rexha released two singles in 2014, both of which were featured on Next2Shine - first 'I Can't Stop Drinking About You' in March 2014, followed by 'I'm Gonna Show You Crazy' in December 2014, which has now had almost 35 million streams on Spotify. This month she releases her debut EP 'I Don't Wanna Grow Up', which is now available on iTunes and features 5 emotionally-charged dance tracks including her two previous singles, as well as new songs 'Pray', 'Sweet Beginnings' and title track 'I Don't Wanna Grow Up'. Each of the tracks showcase her powerful vocals with passionate lyrics and a catchy melody, and it seems Bebe is finally taking her place next to other power-house electro-pop princesses such as Tove Lo, Ellie Goulding, Marina Diamandis and Sia. After touring with Bruno Mars and Usher, Bebe Rexha is now on her European tour and shall be joining the 2015 Vans Warped Tour – starting on June 17th in Anchorage, AK - for all 43 dates.
