Astrid S' "Party's Over" EP Gets The Party Started
The oh so lovable Astrid S has now gifted us her "Party's Over" EP through Virgin EMI Records. The release does a perfect job at presenting us Astrid's bright, sweet, and punchy brand of pop music.
The EP includes the catchy smash singles "Breathe" and "Bloodstream" and new potential skyrocketing hits. When it comes to her songwriting and with "Bloodstream" as an example, Astrid told us:
"It comes natural when you’re in the studio. There is nothing pre-planned; it just happens. "Bloodstream" was a lot of fun; there were five of us working on it. I had this Ariana Grande song, “Forever Boy,” stuck in my head and a sound in that song inspired a similar idea for my own. It eventually turned out totally different and I ended up just loving what we made. It was also originally two different songs mended together. Where the “bloodstream” part starts - that was originally another song but then we figure we might as well put them together."
The execution is handled with great professionalism. Each song seems to be carefully crafted second by second and what more could you really want:
"I've been working on this EP for over a year, so I'm very happy to finally share it with everybody and get the music out there. I have a close relationship with all of the songs, and there’s a story behind each one of them. The hours spent in the studio with these producers have been so much fun. I’m so proud of their work on these songs and proud to also call them my friends!"
