Astrid S Becomes A 60's Vigilante In "Breathe"
Norwegian on-the-rise pop act Astrid S has presented a unique story to pair with her prominent single "Breathe." A duo called Cherry Cobra Films, featuring Johanna Nyberg and Nathalie Hallman, were in charge of this one. Cherry Cobra Films had to say:
“The backbone of the music video is retro-nostalgia, where we move in and out of decades following the two main characters and their journey through time. Our main inspiration for the story were retro action movies such as the cult classic James Bond films from the 60’s, as well as 70’s road movies, Tarantino-esque characters and Americana influences in general. We wanted to play with pastiches in all aspects: famous movie scenes, interiors, fashion and cliché characters.”
Pay close attention to the little details throughout "Breathe" and you'll find that each of these aspects are attended to nicely:
The Norwegian Grammy for Breakthrough Artist Of The Year went to Astrid S for her "Astrid S" EP. More is rumored to come from the musician this year.
