ASTR Share Hauntingly Captivating "Bleeding Love" Video
Zoe Silverman and Adam Pallin make up ASTR -- an indie-pop duo that are plowing through the music industry with no shame. Their latest single, "Bleeding Love," has been accompanied by a music video and it does the track all the justice. It lives on their latest EP release, Homecoming, released via 300 Entertainment.
The duo pull inspiration from horror films, channeling the dark side of ASTR in their Homecoming EP. The grungy sounds turn visual in this video, showing clips of camera glitches, white noise and dancers in fencing outfits as you watch the band glide through an abandoned building. It's quite hauntingly beautiful -- check it out for yourself.
The video was directed by Mount Emult and choreographed by Neil "Dradle" Schwartz.
"Sometimes love comes with a dark side, and when it becomes toxic there is no other option than leaving. Part of the video was driven by finding an abstract way to bring to life the battle aspect of relationships. We chose fencing as the sport because behind a mask and distanced with swords two can act out their discord. The use of masks has been an important part of theater as well as psychology for centuries. For us as players in the video, we find ourselves in the control of an experiment in two subjects who are on the verge of a mental breakdown." says Adam Pallin.
