Anna Straker Reveals Shimmering "Late Night Swimming"
Anna Straker, a London-based singer, songwriter and producer, has presented us with a musical gift today. It's a track called "Late Night Swimming," produced entirely on her own. It's seldom you find an artist that completely takes matters into their hands, and Straker is that girl.
You might recognize the name, as her credits go back to projects with Years & Years and Rudimental. Her solo efforts are just as brilliant, producing a shimmering, dreamy single that won't leave your head. The synth pop feels are real as you are taken into a majestic atmosphere through her art. She states that the song reminds her of a "summer evening in London," and listening feels like you're right there with her.
"I completely remade a track I wrote two years ago," she said in an interview. "The original track had a 6/8 time signature and I changed it to 4/4, giving it a whole new vibe. I found this cool synth sound on my King Korg, and I based the whole track around that. I love how dreamy it is, it feels free.”
